Following are the day’s biggest winners and losers. Find out why shares of eBay and Juniper popped while Palm and Barrick Gold dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

eBay (EBAY) popped 4%. Bernstein upgraded the firm to ‘outperform’ from ‘market perform’ citing economic recovery and a boost from the Skype spinoff. - I think the stock could go higher still, speculates Guy Adami.

AIG (AIG) popped 8%. The stock rebounded just one day after a double digit fall yesterday due to negative comments from Credit Suisse. - The dash for trash continues, chuckles Tim Seymour.

Juniper (JNPR) popped 8%. The company said it was happy with demand from its service provider customers and forecast an "uptick at some point."

Royal Caribbean (RCL) popped 8%. Majestic Research said cruise prices are stabilizing and one of the company’s ships, Oasis of the Seas, is generating strong pricing premiums.

UPS (UPS) popped 2%. JPMorgan ugraded the delivery service firm to ‘overweight’ from ‘neutral’.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Palm (PALM) dropped 9%. The smartphone maker revealed a new model called the Pixi, and cut the price of the Pre by $50, a sign of weak sales some analysts say. - I think the problem is that the Pre is tethered to Sprint, muses Pete Najarian.

Barrick Gold (ABX) dropped 6%. The world’s largest producer of gold increased its stock sale to $3.5 billion to unwind its gold hedges. - I'm wondering if other gold producers will feel pressure to do the same, muses Joe Terranova.
